What did you do last year? I remember your questions about the CV then. You wanted to use a cheap replacement axle shaft and the shop advised you that it could cause a differential failure. Same shop now?

I would replace both axle shafts, and not with cheaply made aftermarket parts. See if that fixes it, or if the differential is the next step.

You are a sharp one. It is a different shop, though I can only imagine how red in the face I would be if it was the same one.

When I stumbled upon that post of mine, I shuddered. If only I had listened!

Well, the differential being damaged is certainly not for sure, though that old post certainly does raise alarms, and adds fire to the current speculation.

In any case, I agree (no shite right?.) Replace with higher quality assemblies and see what's what.

For anyone wonder, last year I ended up settling with the FEQ axles on the drivers side.

Hey Godfather!!

What was the conclusion on your high speed vibration and popping noise? Was it the CV axles?

Thanks!

Hey,

It is of the shops opinion that it is indeed the CV axles. Unfortunately I have not yet replaced them, to find out for sure.

I hope to be getting on this soon!
