Bleeding do I need use a GT1 etc..?

Hi, reading the Bentley Manual they claim the BMW braking system is prone to air bubbles and the only safe way to bleed is to have a Prog Tool set to the bleed function, reading the DIY's on here it's not a must have.

Are the Bentley guys over stating the problem?

I plan to use a Motive Pressure Bleeder without Prog Tool.

Thanks

Somewhat overstated, IMO.

On the other hand if you get air in the ABS controller, you can't get it out without a programming tool.
