Sway Bar and K-Mac Question

Hi guys,

Just a quick question - is Eibach the only company that makes sway bars for our cars or is there another company (I can't seem to find another one).

Also, those of you who have experience with the K-Mac rear camber/toe kit, what are your opinions of it and how low (on coil-overs) can you go before the kit can not dial out anymore camber than stock (i.e. at what ride height will the K-Macs, in full dialed out mode, reach/exceed the OEM camber and toe)? Honestly, my preference would be to get the rear to no more than -2.0 degrees of negative camber.

I must say that I've heard mixed reviews of the K-Mac stuff - would I be better off having a custom concentric bolt machined? I've even considered designing and building a fully adjustable threaded upper wishbone (a-le E46 adjustable control arm). Thoughts?

One more thing. SPC (the same company that makes the steel adjustable rear control arms for the E46) also make a concentric bolt setup of the E60. K-Mac's E60 kit is the same one they sell for the e53 - I wonder if I could use the SPC E60 kit if it gives more camber than the K-Mac kit - the only difference is that the SPC kit has rubber instead of poly bushings (as in the K-Mac kit) and it costs about half the price of the K-Mac kit. I guess that prompts a new question; for those of you using the K-Mac camber kit, is the poly bushing from the K-Mac kit noisy as a bastard? Hrm...

Thanks very much!

Whiteline makes sways for the E53.

Curious to know more about your research re: K-Mac rear camber/toe adjustment.

I know you are hyper-anal and want the perfect solution. I am looking for a most cost effective solution to removing some of my rear camber and toe so I don't continue burning through tires.

I've looked into the Whiteline stuff. I'm going to do the KWs first with custom rear adjustable wishbones. I might have to go for bump-steer correction as well. It all depends on how low the ride height will be.

I'm sure you've seen my other thread - there's more information there and I plan on keeping the discussion going there. This thread never took off. There is very little suspension knowledge on this forum, hence my decision to go the custom machining route.

When I start the suspension overhaul I'll either continue it in that thread or start a totally new one. I'll be sure to note those that parts are necessary, those that are not life-or-death but nice to have, and what parts are just a waste of money.
