Noticed something strange...anyone familiar with it?

My X has the Depo lights for a couple of years now and the angel eyes are always on when you start the car. They work perfect.
Today I was coming home and turned off the car, removed the keys, opened the door and was ready to exit when I noticed all of a sudden that interior lights and panels came on and headlights came on as well. I did not touch anything or turn the switch on. I went outside and noticed headlights on, angel eyes were off.
I put the key in the ignition and turned on the car and all came back to normal, only angel eyes on, turned off again and all back to normal. Exit the car and locked it.

Have anyone noticed this strange behavior. I've never seen it before and wonder if it will happen again. Very strange...

I bet you accidental did the high beam flash. You can flash the high beams to leave the lights on after you exit and lock the car on. they will stay on for like 30 seconds or a minute

That is possible because I bent to fix the floor mat and maybe I hit the high beam, just did not remember or felt touching anything. I hope that was it...

I think what Pezho said is likely.

On a side note, I was actually in Mount Prospect today. Small world.

also, if you turn the turn signal stalk to the left or to the right when the ignition is off, you will activate the sidewalk parking lights - the front turn signal light at half intensity and back brake light at half intensity... In europe they use those lights when parking with the right (or left) side on the sidewalk and the rest of the car on the driving road... the part of the car "hanging" on the street gets those lights turned on...
