Has anyone installed BSW speakers package

Hi Guys,
I have 01 X5 non DSP and recently installed Pioneer p4400. I already have the subwoofer and amp setup from BSW and now I would like to upgrade the stock speakers to the BSW speaker package.
I would like to know if anyone here in the forum has done it and what their opinion is.
Thanks.

I upgraded my system with the total BSW package several years ago. HUGE improvement and is still a great system! BSW was helpful with instructions and and tech help when I called them with a question.

Thanks guys. Since I was half way there with the bsw sub and amp and now new headunit, I was just wondering if it will be worht it to spend $600 and upgrade all the speakers. SO, now I have to really consider it...:)
I must say that after I installed the new headunit the sound is way better, so my question is would it be even better with bsw speakers?

I would say yes but I did it all at once so can't say for sure. As sound system upgrades go unless you include upgrading speakers you don't get out near the potential offered by the upgrade.

I'll be the devil's advocate.

$600 buys you a nice aftermarket amp and some serious speakers probably a lot better than what BSW sells. The snag is that the install is not plug and play.

So really it comes down to how much you want to do a custom install vs. pay a lot for some plug and play speakers that are a lot better. You have to do an amp because the stock speakers are 2 ohms and you're not going to find anything aftermarket that is compatible. BSW has the market cornered and charges like they do.

$600 would get you some good components or a decent amp, not both. :)
For example the newer version of the alpine R components are ~$300 a pair....theres always a bit of wiggle room on price of course. In my experience the (as far as alpine products) the type-r Range is where I would start, don't bother with the S or E range is a waste of money.

Realistically you're going to be closer to the 1k mark for components and amp.

good by comparison to BSW. My last system was focal / zapco / JL. I hate alpine stuff, sounds so harsh up top to me.

Whether you go BSW or otherwise, speakers should match and be chosen to compliment what you already have and fit without modification. How much value in the plug and play, match to what you have and tech support for the install is the question.

Since you already have the BSW sub, pairing it with the BSW components would be your best bet as far as sound sound consistency goes.
