I was curious to see how it works. Now this is the stuff that is advertised on TV correct?

pezho405 10-20-2012 06:23 PM

you mean Black wow?

brian5 10-20-2012 07:12 PM

If he's talking about the Black Wow trim dressing, I just used that again today and I don't like it. It goes on way too unevenly for me.

I think the OP may be talking about something else though.

TwinTurboGTR 10-20-2012 07:21 PM

Hmmmm, Black WOW works just fine for me. The trick is to rub it into the plastic, if that makes any sense. Just need to rub thoroughly or it will be uneven. As for what the OP is talking about, I think the name os it is called New Wipe. There have been some TV commercials for the stuff. Seems like it is good, but it also looks like it is very greasy. WHich may be good and bad. Lets see what the op says.

Wipe New commercial says just wipe, and you're done.
Is this one of those things that show one thing, but you have to spend an hour rubbing it in?

I'm interested to see how it holds up after a few weeks...Everything I've used has faded by then.

I just read about this method on another forum and have read on the interwebs this works also

I had heard about a tip to restore them easily and decided to give it a try. It worked great! So here's how to do it:

Supplies needed:

Windex
Old Socks
Colgate White Toothpaste
Clean rag

Spray the light with windex.
Put a Sock on your hand, and squeeze a liberal amount of toothpaste on the sock.
Rub the light, and spray intermittently with Windex as it starts to dry.
Will probably spray 3 or 4 times.
Use the clean rag to wipe down.
Spray Windex one last time to remove residue.

That's it! You'll be amazed how good this works!

I, too, was ready to order Wipe New. However, I didn't like the response to the question...What is the Wipe New get on your paint? Basically, you should not get that stuff on your paint.
