When did heated steering wheel

become part of the cold weather package? I'm looking at an 06 and it has frt and rear heated seats but there is no button on the steering wheel for the heater.

My 04 has front and rear heated seats, and the heated steering wheel.

It was an option. Heated steering does not come in sport style on the e53. I have seen ones that could fit, that have the button on the wheel.

Ok, so sport package/steering wheel is not heated then.

it was not even an option on the 4.6 but the 4.8 has one... however, my steering wheel on the 4.6 bears an ///M logo and the 4.8 - does not... but it is heated... lol...

2000-2003 Heated steering wheel only with non-sport

2004-2006 Heated Steering wheel is available on all models

for some reason i thought that the heating wiring was prewired even on the non-heated steering wheel models...

yes, with the correct slip ring, and installing the relay above the glove box. all you need is the new steering wheel.

I had posted somewhere on the forum a BMW bulletin or a memo, indicating, that if the car is fitted with specific set of options, the main harness can handle some additional options... I am blabbering... lol..

if the car has options set A, B and C - D, E and F can be fitted.
if the car has options set G, H and I - K, L and M can be fitted in addition to A through F...

I need to find my own post... lol... :)

Sounds like it was a stand alone option then. Not really part of the cold weather package.
