Suggestions on Bulb Please.

Hey guys, so i have the facelift headlights in which you can just change out the bulbs for the angel eyes. awhile back i got plain white ones from ebay, i didnt expect much from them anyway and i was right. But now i kinda wanna upgrade to something much brighter. A much brighter bulb maybe? where can i get one? Thanks

Today replaced my broken running/turnsignal Led ebay lights with a new set of DDM ones that is a single led in a projector style housing. Now it shines like an extra lamp! so basically Mini beams =D but as you see the least brightest thing there are the AEs

I used these and they are just OK. The limitation of the AE brightness is in the design of the ring. The new style AE's on all the new F chassis cars are a completely different design. To get that same output in our lights, the bulb would have to be so bright and powerful that you would melt the housing.

Hey guys I think you should explore coding your X5 to remove the amber corner lights. Your AEs will stand out so much more. If you do not have access to someone who can code with NCS expert try looking on local BMW club forum. Check with local M3 clubs and Craig's List. You can prob find someone who will code your car for around 50-100$$. Then your AEs will pop much more. NO they will not look like the new models but will def stand out more. I see so many questions about brighter bulbs. IMO the easiest way to make them brighter is remove the amber.

NCS Expert works. That's what I used on my 2006. Search around for a local BMW club or even Craig's List. Look for NCS expert and BMW coding. I am in the Wash DC area and I found a few adds on Craig's List for BMW coding. I got mine done by the Wash DC BMW Club. Also check with the 3 series guys as they are much more active on the forums/clubs than the X5ers. Good Luck!!!!! And if you are ever in Wash DC area let me know and I can get you coded.:thumbup:
