newbie question about power steering
 
Hello,
Could someone, please, tell me more about power steering system on 2006 e53 sport package X5? It's a new car for me and some things seem weird. I can't find power steering reservoir. Does it have electronic p/s? :dunno:

NO its not electronic. Its in the engine bay and its a black reservoir and the cap should say ATF on it. Why are you wondering? Does the steering feel kinda heavy/tough, thats normal, i had a few friends that got bmws and said the same

no problem with heavy/tough steering wheel. problem is that I cant find reservoir anywhere lol
only thing i know that it should look like this

Well id you have a 3 liter you might look farther down below the intake boot. can you post a pic of your engine bay

Yeah it should be right under the intake boot or next to the oil filter:
