Another battery drain issue
Hi guys,
I hope you guys can help me here. I have a 2002 BMW X5 3.0. I've been having battery issues for a while now. I just thought that it may be a bad battery so I replaced it over the summer and everything seemed to be working fine. I left the x5 in the drive way for 24 hours and tried to start to with no luck. I recharged the battery and the x5 up and everything was fine until i let the x5 sit in the driveway for more than 24 hours. I concluded that I may have a parasitic draw. I thought I'd be fine if I drive it at least once every day. Only problem is that yesterday I took the x5 into the garage to patch up a tire. I place the tire back on and tried to start the x5 but it wouldn't crank. I was able to start it 10-20 mins ago. It kinda looked like I shorted the battery somehow. When I placed the key in the ignition and turned it, the lights went dead for a quick second and when they came back on, the lights were dimmer. I've done some research and it seems like the FSR is a common issue. Can I get an input from someone? |
