Mass Air Flow Sensor/ P0175 Error Code/ Engine Fail Safe- Simple Fix Easy Mistake
 

Just thought I would throw this out there.

Big Problem, Easy Mistake, Simple Fix

Error Code P0175 was triggered along with Engine Fail Safe Mode. Definition: To rich in bank 2

Translation: to much fuel being used in chamber.

As I was working on the engine, I happened to remove the MAF for easy access to other parts. When I was finished I re installed the MAF. HOWEVER, unaware to me, the gasket that fits between the MAF and air intake boot did not sit properly. It was pushed into the body of the intake boot.

Fix

Take the black gasket, place it around the MAF collar, then re insert the air intake boot over the MAF collar/gasket. This will be a VERY snug fit and may require some lubricant and force.

Problem Solved.
