Random parts found in oil filter housing
 

I was changing the oil on my 04 4.4i and found these parts in the oil filter housing. No idea where they go. Weren't there on the last oil change 5k miles ago. Can't seem to find them on real oem.

Any ideas?

Do a forum search, there are several threads about this, nothing to worry about if I remember correctly.

as I can recall this is the valve that prevent the oil to drain back !
With out that valve the engine will have LESS lubrication on COLD starts - [more wear & shorten engine life] !
Check the top on the inside the filter housing if you can see a place where it can fit back in !
