Potential Folding mirror switch source?
 

Has anyone tried Hong Mei trading as a source for X5 folding mirror switches and if so are they legit?

BMW E53 Power side mirror micro- switch(water proof type) - Hong Mei Trading Co., Ltd.

Even if it required splicing into the harness it doesn't seem to be a bad option if it actually is the correct switch.

i thought the micro switch was identified somewhere on this forum... much cheaper... or, i am mistaken?...

Yeah but I thought it was determined they had to be purchased in bulk.

New to the X5 world after getting rid of my '02 330i. Just picked up a super clean 2005 4.8IS with 48k miles.

Recently was diagnosing the folding mirror issue to discover the metal tab which attaches to the microswitch on the drivers door is MIA. I'm pretty sure the switch itself is fine but its pretty useless without the lever.
