Rivets for door sill cover
3 Attachment(s)
Trying to find the part number for the rivets that hold on the door sill cover (#3?).
Attachment 57114 They look like the rivets on the right. Smaller size head, long pin. Attachment 57115 Attachment 57116 |
RealOEM says that the rivet you posted is no longer used and has been replaced with blind rivet pn 51717002953. Strange.
Picture below...: RealOEM.com |
I looked but didn't see where it said that on realoem.

If you're not familiar with the part database's set-up...the numbers that are encircled...indicates "hardware". And in most cases...there's an extra hardware index drawn into the illustration to give an idea of what it looks like. In this case, #5, #6,& #7 (all are encircled) are hardware...and they also have their own special index drawn within the overall diagram. The encircled #6 in the diagram shows that specific blind rivet holds item #3 (sill) to the vehicle...and the special index shows what iem #6 looks like in the lower right of the diagram. :) Without a direct link to the diagram...I drilled down to find the diagram you posted using my e53's info...and there is an 11 digit BMW part nbr listed for that blind rivet. I'd say it looks very much like the "real" images you posted that you're looking for. :) Go back to that diagram you posted (did you use your VIN?)...then scroll down to item #6 below that diagram to get the BMW part nbr for your e53. You can then price shop it by typing "BMW xx xx x xxx xxx" into a google search box, or use it if you have a fav online BMW vendor, or use it with your local BMW dealership's parts dept. Good luck. :) |
Sorry, I meant I didn't see in realoem where it specifically said this part number was a replacement for a previous part. If so, that might explain why the parts I removed are different than what is shown as available in realoem.
