Just got the X remotely coded last night!

Had Triple O Coding remotely write some code for me last night. He was in NY and I am in CA. Just did the basics - high's on with fog lights, windows/sunroof close with key, the windows will continue rolling up when the car is off and you open the door, euro hazards, clock updated with GPS and all cold monitoring off on all lighting.

It was effortless and very interesting to watch. The owner of the company is a really nice guy and will code just about everything you can think of (that's possible of course). Love the changes and can't recommend it enough.

Can you provide more info? I searched on the board and google and couldn't find anything on Triple O Coding. How much did they charge for your coding?

and more importantly what was the process like? did he just remote in to your laptop, how does that work to connect to your car?

exactly. he sends you a cable and connector and he will set up a day and time that the two of you can be online together.

I'm gonna try to get my free laptop running and buy the software from the guy in Romania first for 35 bucks to see if I can have my own diagnostic machine, but will keep in mind if i run into any snags!

Smart, I use PaSoft 1.4.0 and code or turn off SRS lights at least once a week (constant window regulator or door carrier failure).

Ricky Bobby 12-18-2012 11:49 AM

how well does Pasoft work? you bought the usb cable too off the net right?"

brokenbmx06 12-18-2012 12:07 PM

I like it a lot. It's relatively easy to use but there are a few little quirks in the software but nothing that I would consider a deal breaker. I got the everything I needed from ebay but hard to order the OBDII to 16 pin connector since my E46 and E53 are from the early 2000's.

Dinan, what are the euro hazards?

upallnight 12-18-2012 05:48 PM

He's coming to Chicago and I will have him code my car so that all the doors will open with just one push of the remote and not two push. Maybe also code the fog lights to come on with the high so that I can blind the driver in front of me or on the other side of the road.

Anything else I should get recoded while he's here?

It does a double blink, then pause, double blink pause. Not a constant blink like the regular hazzards. I found it a bit too freaky, and changed it back to normal.

Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Double Blink, I wonder if State Farm could use that in their discount double check commercial with Aaron Rodgers. Discount Double Blink...

LOL

To Ricky Bobby's question, how does the remote coding process work?
