For all of you following my vibration saga, we've gone through everything from guibo joints, to ball joints, to tranny, to driveshaft, to engine mounts etc. finally, circle BMW in eatontown diagnosed the transfer case. Just got the car back a week and a half ago ( been in Cabo most of that time). So now I've really been able to drive her. Drives great! Feels brand new again. Thanks for all the help guys, here's to another 100k miles!!

vibration due to torque converter?

|

they didnt as far as I know.
But dude congrats and I'm so glad to hear that, you can definitely get another 100k out of that easy! lookin sexy with the winter wheels on! |
It was like a vibration shudder under acceleration. You could feel something skipping a beat under the car.
Every dealer and shop thought it was a different thing. So I kept moving it around until I found a knowledgable mechanic. I will be going back to circle from now on. |
If the problem occurred under the warranty period and none of the dealers that you took it to could fix the problem I think that BMW should pick up the repair.
But that would be in a perfect world where customer satisfaction was more important then profits. |
