autocheck

I'm not sure if this is allowed, so if it isn't just let me know. The reason being someone mentioned something about copyright with carfax (this is not carfax) since you have to pay for it, but this is a free service on a dealers site so I'd assume it's ok.

Basically what you do is go to one of these links, and paste your VIN # that you'd like to check after the equal sign.

Again if this is against the rules let me know I'll take it down, or a mod can delete it

You have to paste the VIN # after the = sign, I'll post some pics to explain it better I guess.

Step 1. Click one of the links in the OP post, it will take you to a page like this:

Step 2. Paste your VIN# after the equal sign in your address bar, press enter.

Step 3. You're at your VIN info now

alex,

I think you're a naughty boy and you're probably not allowed to post that.

That being said, thank you!!!

I was able to get my AutoCheck report. The score was 89 (which is probably the max for that 5-year old X5 with zero problems on the report).

EDIT: I guess the score is meaningless. My wife's 13-year old Mercedes ML320 got a score of 92. And that is a vehicle with issues...

autocheck is free for dealers and its running off a dealer site so it should be legal.

my score was 70, the car says mileage rollback. I know the cluster has been swaped because the vin is differently but judging the motor and other parts there is no way its been through 310,000 miles! The LCM reading is close to 500,000 miles or maybe this is a special edition X5 made to haul trailers and go over a million.

I scored a 92 :)

2 prior owners, 1 accident in June of 2004 in left rear (which I knew already when i bought the car and ran carfax for free, my father in law can do it for his business)
