e53 lumbar support switch
3 Attachment(s)
hello all - i have a 2004 e53 (x5) and my driver's side lumbar support stopped working. i pulled off the seat switch side cover panel and discovered the 2 wires leading from the harness to the pin connector have come loose. the pin connector is cracked and i have purchased a new one. my issue is i do not know where the brown and red wire connect to. it is a 3 pin connector.
pin 1 = ? pin 2 = not used pin 3 = ? i have included pics. can anybody help me make the connection? is it the same as on the passenger side. i do not want to blow any modules by reversing the wires. cheers, m. |
is this a 3-pin or 6-pin connector? the WDS shows a 6-pin connector for this application

hi terminaror - thank you for your reply. the 6 pin is the one towards the front of the vehicle which handles the lumbar switch. the 3 pin is the voltage supply to the switch and ground (brown and red wires) and is the one towards the rear of the vehicle.
cheers, m. |

Fixed the wire issue. Brown wire goes to pin 1 and red wire goesno pin 3. Love the lumbar support!
