done. pulled the headlight out yesterday and pulled the turn signal bulb in/out a couple times. added some di-electric grease and it works just fine now. kinda odd there really wasnt a lot of corrosion that I could see at all inside the socket. I did scrape around in it with a knife though before finishing up. just fyi.
