Ultra Racing E53 chassis braces

Found this Malaysian company on eBay. Some unique parts available. I'm not sure any of these would do any good, what so you guys think?

If those don't work then go to the products page and navigate to the E53 section.

Doesn't look like they will do anything for our cars. Not sure though.

Ill second that. That front one doesn't look very rigid the way they designed the ends. Especially when you start throwing 5500lbs around.

That was exactly my thought. Too many bends without reinforcement. Looks like eBay specials to me, nothing of value.

^^^ at $125 for the lower member I'd say the prices reflect our suspicions.

Wow what a POS of automotive jewelry. The "front lower member bar" is supposed to improve what the front plate already does. Plus the front torque web plate has 6 points of attachment.

People and their money. . .

That is better. But still bullshit waste of money.

Put me down for a "Disagree" vote here. I don't think I've ever seen a BMW-oriented board as hostile to any kind of divergence from OEM as this one.

I've done some research on these. Here's what I can contribute:
  • The manufacturer is legitimate. They manufacture for many vehicles and reviews are good. US sources are very limited, and the Ebay sellers are the only ones you can find without significant legwork.
  • I bought a set of their bars for my e60 and have completed the install. Tightens things up noticeably, makes a difference that's worth the price.
  • Sourcing the e53 pieces has proved very challenging. I have finally, through the manufacturer, found a US outlet that agreed to special order, my order is now in process.
  • My E53 order is for the lower bars. I already have a front strut tower bar installed, from Schmiedmann, and that was definitely worth doing.

Life is short. Play with your car.
