Put me down for a "Disagree" vote here. I don't think I've ever seen a BMW-oriented board as hostile to any kind of divergence from OEM as this one.
I've done some research on these. Here's what I can contribute:
- The manufacturer is legitimate. They manufacture for many vehicles and reviews are good. US sources are very limited, and the Ebay sellers are the only ones you can find without significant legwork.
- I bought a set of their bars for my e60 and have completed the install. Tightens things up noticeably, makes a difference that's worth the price.
- Sourcing the e53 pieces has proved very challenging. I have finally, through the manufacturer, found a US outlet that agreed to special order, my order is now in process.
- My E53 order is for the lower bars. I already have a front strut tower bar installed, from Schmiedmann, and that was definitely worth doing.
Life is short. Play with your car.
