E53 Diagnostics - First Time.
 
Hi Fellow Experts,
As a newbie and trying to learn and improve, i got the bmw scanner and today i used it for the first time.
I got the log, but the most i did not get the meaning.
Would an expert please analyse it for me and help me decifrate the errors?

In each module you can also see I'd the fault is active or just stored from the past. You could clear them, and see which (if any) come back and diagnose from there.

looks like bad battery... and engine stalled once and went into limp mode causing misfire.

limp... well rough running. specs are off.
our german cars are very sophisticated. They have sensors for everything. They sense every bump, every detail. EVERYTHING!

could be a kickdown shift, anything... and than car runs rough.

I'm speaking from experience as I had exact same problem like you listed maybe a month ago. After reset everything was fine. no coil to replace nothing. Most codes to be reset to see if they come on again.

for your battery its recommended to be replaced every 3 years. moniter your voltage in the obc hidden function. i would just replace it if you havent yet. $150 Bosch battery and peace of mind.

Mostly DME- digital motor control unit

Yes, i'm using BMW Scanner, version 1.4.0, and i cleared DTC. How to monitor the battery voltage in the obc hidden function? Speaking about reset,, how to reset it? Clearing the DTC?

You can clear dtc's from each module separately, or all modules by clicking 'clear Dtc' on the main column.

For future reference DTC = Diagnostic Trouble Code ....if anyone was wondering.

That im not sure; never needed it. Try the article or x5 tricks and tips sections....it'll probably be in there. If not, a search will dig up the info.
