Thank you once again for all the help. It was frustrating and satisfying at the same time tracing this annoying sound. I will order a pair today and hopefully it will not take too long to get her. :popcorn:

Today has been a satisfying and gratifying day. I called both local bmw dealers where I normally bring my vehicles in for service. Luckily, both dealerships have the item in stock. One dealer wanted $42.00 per set/repair kit and the other dealership was only $21. I could not believe in the price difference. Both of these prices are retail prices. Picked up two set and replaced it. The X5 is nice and quite. I am very happy. Thank you to this board I think I SAVED about $500 in labor,parts, and diagnostic fees.

***SIDE NOTE*** if your x5 is exhibiting the infamous whistling sound and you do not have air leaks in your intake system. This part will cure/fix that annoying whistling sound. After replacing both sides my x5 no longer exhibiting that infamous whistling sound. :popcorn::p:
