Does anyone uses textile snow chains in E53 with 285-45-19 Sport?
What is your opinion ?

Never used them myself. My brother does (on a FWD Toyota) and he says they work great, but don't last long, and driving them on snowless pavement will destroy them.

No need, get some proper winter tires. If those aren't enough, then you probably shouldn't be driving your X5 in that kind of snow.

Not justify buying winter tires, because temperatures rarely fall from +5º c in Portugal, however I intend to go to Spain (Sierra Nevada, for ski ), so I need a functional solution and economically.
What should I buy, traditional chain or textile?
