For those of you with H&R Spacers........

Did you guys buy any aftermarket nuts or lug covers? The stock nuts that secure the wheel to the DRA spacer look horrible.

I just used the nuts that came with the kit. :flame:

I bought a set of black plastic lug bolt covers from Wheel Adapters, Lug Nuts, Lug Bolts, Wheel Spacers, I was going to buy a full set of wheel bolts but our X5's shank length is so short (19mm) that they didn't have them in my size.

Cleans up the look of the wheels as the stock wheel bolts get tarnished over time, the H&R bolts aren't finished too well either from what I can remember.

Mine were converted to studs/nuts... So I know they are available for the X5. Just not sure of the exact brand or size. I would not trust stock lugs with spacers more than 5-10mm.

I run 20mm spacers all around on my a4, and have extended lug bolts, its fine. They arent the kind that first secure to the hub and then the wheels to spacer/adapter.

It is a lighter car though, 3250lbs vs 5k

Pitch the lugs. Run Studs. M14x1.5 is what you need. Readily available with a couple minutes of googling.

Hhmm, I think we need clarification or maybe I'm the only one confused.

When I responded about using wheel NUTS its because I used DRM style spacers - not DRA. DRM have wheel STUDS mounted on the spacers.

DRA spacers require you to use wheel BOLTS (like stock) so it does not use wheel nuts.

Are you just looking for wheel bolt covers?

Or did you mean you have DRM spacers and are looking for better looking wheel nuts?

Twins, I must have an old set of spacers. The versions I have use bolts to secure the spacer to the hub and then have studs and nuts that secure the wheel to the spacer.

Those are what I had. Those are DRM style spacers not DRA.
