tread wear... please help!!!

I just changed the wheels on my 01' 3.0. I upgraded to 20" staggered 87's. My tires are wearing out at an amazing pace. I have changed tires twice in 4 mths. Got car aligned. What could it be??? Balancing???

camber wear or the whole tire?

Do you have the print out of your alignments?

Also, what tire brand & model are you running...or what catagory is the tire...summer, all-season, etc...or do you know what the tire tread rating is on the tire..and what's your daily or monthly mileage like?

On top of the questions posed above....

What tire pressure are you running?
What are your driving habits?
Is the tread wear even across the tire, edge vs centre, inner vs outer?
Front, rear, or both axles?

What was your tire life like prior to the switch to larger tires?

All of this, plus one on the alignment specs listed above and how old are your shocks?

Although I had all the rear suspension parts replaced but the ball joint I was killing tires like crazy.
The ball joints were both bad but hard to tell without releasing the pressure from the air spring. After I replaced them I have even wear on the rear tires.

Make sure you fix the rear suspension before spend any more money on alignment and tires as I did.

The wear is mainly in the center of the rear tires, Dunlop sport maxx. I don't have a print out of the alignment and I never had this issue with the 17" wheels.

I am wondering why you are ignoring the rest of the questions?
What is the tire pressure you are running?
What is your tires thread wear # I have Dunlops on my Mazda CX7 and the # is 500 and I remember that some Michelins have 240 or so.So that # can be a good indicator of what to expect from your tires wear wise.

Center wear is usually a good indication of over inflation.
