I have a 2001 3.0 non-sport. My steering wheel is getting worn out.

Not without modification. Anything can be made to fit, but at what cost and how much creativity do you have?

I didn't see a slip ring so that would be needed as well. And again does the slip ring for the E53 steering wheel fit the E38 or 39? Plus one is heated the other is not, so a slip ring with heat option is required as well as the corresponding right side button pad.

How bad is the old one? I had a 4-spoke steering wheel from my X5 since I upgrade it. Let me know if you want it.

I've got the same wheel on my '03 and I'm researching what it will take to upgrade to a smaller, thicker wheel. What wheel did you upgrade your '01 to?

I upgrade it to the Sport pkg steering wheel. It's for sale now if you're interest.

That wheel would match perfectly with my interior, but sadly, I've got maintenance $$$'s to spend before mod $$$'s... unless of course you're selling the wheel/airbag combo and throwing in the rest of the car... ;)
