Dealer Removed My Hub Centric Rings.. Dangerous?

Beyond pissed right now...

Dealer replaced my wheels, and put on my summer wheels (aftermarket), Been driving around and got a vibration at 55mph, i figured off balance.. But i went outside just now and took of a wheel to check, NO HUB RINGS!! I had specifically told them to make sure they stay on the wheel...Retards..

anyway, I believe they have a 76mm center bore. (TSW Nardo). And i know that the e53 has a 72.56 hub. So, question is, is it dangerous to drive like this until i get another set of rings? And, are these the rings that fit? friend of mine told me it will loosen up the lug nuts because of the non-tight fitment. Big problem is that I need to drive back up to school tomorrow, and then philly next weekend. So lots of driving coming up. Will i be safe driving at highway speeds for 3 hours tomorrow?

Hubs on a BMW are used to center the wheels, unlike some cars which uses the studs and lug nuts. Don't drive at speed or you'll start feeling the front end shake. Keep it under 45 and you'll be o.k.

Why not go back and ask for them?

Its because I have to drive tomorrow to Cornell from NJ.

I have the option of taking my mothers car instead...

The imbalance forces climb rapidly with velocity. Not so much of an issue around town. Extended highway driving doesn't sound like a good idea.

Personally I'd try to drive it as little as possible until you get your rings....why look for trouble? (Especially if you have other vehicles available to you!)

I wouldn,t drive it either. I took off my wheels yesterday to clean up the rusty disc, that ring is important .......................I have the 4.6is also with my big wheels and the weight it,s alot stress..............
