Warranty....
I've decided to keep our 06 X5 3.0 58000 miles.
The CPO expired in December and since the trade/sale value is not great, and the car is so nice we have decided to keep it for another 3 years I am thinking to buy "insurance" a warranty. There are so many companies, and so many "bad" reports, I guess you just have to pick the best recommended one. Anyone have GOOD experiences with a particular company? |
Had no probs with Warranty Direct, though it was a few years ago, circa 2005 through late 2009. I had a non-bumper to bumper deal, (a level below that I seem to recall), but I suspect their prices have gone up...I know that any potential 'reload' with them that they offered, post expiration in late 2009, was pricey to my mind.
Give WD a try and also use Search Tab, as there are literally pages of full threads on different extended warranty insurance companies on this board. Fwiw, it is a dice roll, imo...and, read the excluded parts carefully. For most, the auto trans is the boogie man waiting to go kaboom; other stuff is fixable and not outrageous, imo. GL, mD |
Bought a bumper to bumper "factory like" policy from ASC Warranty. Cost me $2100 and so far they have covered $6000 in claims.
