It seems like you trade the E39 in. What did you get for it?

No...didn't trade in as they offered only $6k. My E39 has less than 70K miles. I'm trying a private sale on Craigslist. http://hartford.craigslist.org/cto/3757645100.html
If not there is a local used car dealer who has offered me $7K.

The question is do I do the preventative replacement of the CCV system before winter?

Damn, right in my own backyard! I was looking at 2013 X5's just last week..should have asked about any E53's. Good find!

I'm always wary of cars with such low mileage. I feel like they been sitting more than driven

I cant believe I found it so close to home either...jumped on it quick....I LOVE the low miles.....its had yearly low mile oil changes every 8-10K miles, a couple of brake fluid changes but no coolant changes it appears. So I had them do that prior to my delivery. I dont take delivery until tomorrow around 5PM. Cant wait!
I do want to try and get rid of that steering wheel though. Its heated and it appears the heated sport wheel is like $800 + cost of air bag. Dont think I can justify that unfortunately.

You can usually find a used sport steering wheel. I paid 350 for mine without heat a couple years back. With airbag included ;)

and i have the 18" sport wheels with new tires

I found a non-heated steering wheel from my recycler contact for $80 that apparently has a scratch and one for $150 thats mint. Cant find the airbag yet for less thatn $250...thats on Ebay.

Definitely need an upgrade on wheels.
