Did some stuff to the X5, pics inside UPDATED
Did some small updates/mods to the X,
1. I already had it lowered with my GT1, not slammed low but a nice in-between low and comforable ride, thing is GT1 takes a little while to get the ride height where you want and its not something that you can change quick in one-two mins, i figured out a way through INPA so when i roll around local i can have it slammed and not have to mess with GT1 settings, now if i want it back to my GT1 adjusted height if im going on a longer trip i just hookup my laptop and it takes about 30 sec. 2. Plasti-Dipped kidney grilles and left chrome strips around it. 3. Plasti-Dipped the foglight covers, i didnt know if it would look good or not at first cause ive never seen it done, but i like it and think it looks good, especially in person. 4. Did the roof-rack delete. 5. Clean/Detailed it. Onto the pics: No plastidip yet, cleaned/detailed both the X and A4, was planning on selling the audi but decided to keep it for the daily, dont want to beat up the BMW, it comes out from the garage now on sunny days after work. http://i829.photobucket.com/albums/z...32/null-82.jpg http://i829.photobucket.com/albums/z...32/null-81.jpg Work in progress: http://i829.photobucket.com/albums/z...32/null-83.jpg http://i829.photobucket.com/albums/z...32/null-84.jpg Plasti-Dipped: http://i829.photobucket.com/albums/z...32/null-85.jpg http://i829.photobucket.com/albums/z...32/null-86.jpg Will get some day-light pics up tommorow, Still on the To-Do list: -Exhaust, resonator delete, electric cutouts before mufflers. -Rear spacers, maybe front also, if i get fronts im going to raise it up a little for a more wide-agressive type stance versus my low/tucked now. -Get 2 10.5" 20" wheels for the front to run a squared vs staggered setup -Ceramic pads to get rid of the OEM trashy, dust like no tommorow pads. Update, daytime pics: http://i829.photobucket.com/albums/z...32/null-87.jpg http://i829.photobucket.com/albums/z...32/null-88.jpg |
lookin clean man, i'm not terribly fond of the plasti dip fog light grills (looks like someone forgot to paint them) but props for doing something different.
roof rack delete looks great on the 4.8is models with the body kit as well, I wanted to do it on mine but I feel like I'd have to do slight lowering and get a front skid plate/spoiler first to make the delete flow. If you are running 10.5's all around highly recommend the euro front fender flares to match the rear! |
Look good ...Now add the roof spoiler. ACS style $35 on ebay.

I'd dip the kidney surrounds too and I don't think the fog trim looks better in black. Everything else is lookin good though

I like the fog lights. Matches up with the trim around the headlights and the fog lights are far more visible. With the black grill and the bumper it seems to tie it all together. I always feel like a detail makes it faster, turn easier and roll better. Don't tell me that is not true. I need the satisfaction from the work to get it there.

yea, not a fan of the fog trim being black but the grills should be all black to contrast with the silver, otherwise looks good with out the rack too i was contemplating this on mine but still on the fence
|
Op, i think the painted fog light covers is a great idea on a silver car!

Painted BMW E53 x5 Trunk Spoiler Rear Wing 01 02 03 04 06 § | eBay Vivid Racing wants $825 :wow: for the official AC Schnitzer version, and I don't even think that is painted: AC Schnitzer Roof Spoiler BMW E53 X5 99-07 That little ACS sticker is quite pricey. But I heard the ACS version adds 50 HP and enough downforce to take hairpin turns at 100 MPH+. |
Thanks for the link!
