Turbo Kits for bmw x5 e53

Guys I came across this turbo kit for the e53... Not much info on it...

See link:
E53 X5 Turbo Kit 98-06 : Bimmer Parts Wheels | Headlights For BMW | Tail Lights Accessories

What you guys think of this?? did you ever see one installed on a 4.8is?? The engine space is tight I am trying to figure out where I would even mount the extra Intercooler & all.. Any opinions on this system would be appreciated .. Also if you guys know of any good *REAL/TRUE* Trubo kits for the 4.8is let me know..

I saw that one too a while back... looks like a generic "turbo kit" that they are attempting to market for us guy's with E53's..

(1) Aluminum Battery Box Relocation Kit:
o Full aluminum construction
o Relocation cables, straps, hardware
o Frees up lots of engine bay room
o Better weight distribution for vehicle handling

E53 battery is NOT in the engine bay - is this kit for E53? If so, how can a custom kit have something that is not for the car?

Who makes it? Hartge? Dinan? AC Schnitzer? other reputable tuner?

That looks like an eBay kit that likely started life being a kit for a 3-series. JUNK.

There are no 4.8is turbo kits on the market, nor would I expect any manufacturers to build one.

If you want to turbo it you'll have to have it custom built. Cost will be well over $10k but it would be possible.

I would consider a supercharger setup, likely a bit easier and cheaper.

Exactly my point - among others.. Like they listed no exact specs just KIT for E53... UHH.. very dull - Like "epdarks" said this probably started off as something else... epdarks - i'll look around for any superchargers then.. ESS is making one but they are so slow who knows if its ever going to come out.. First they said at start of 2013 - now they are saying hopefully by December.. so not a good sign.. maybe someone else makes a good supercharger for the 4.8is - let me know..

They (ESS) finished for E70 4.8is -- e53 no-where near done.. and I just received email from Asbjorn from ESS - he says "We have not had time to complete the E53 version yet" -- when I asked him when - he said hopefully before end of 2013... So maybe i'll come out in 8-9 months - maybe not.. Who knows... Ive been waiting on ESS for so long I am losing my patience and might just upgrade to a X5M by next year

I wonder how long it will take before the tranny goes... with N62 you'd be upping 120 horses and probably oodles of torque... I hear that auto tranny's in our cars are quite fragile, so adding more power will just destroy them, no?

The 4.6 would be a better platform for turbo... there are plenty of turbo M62 motors running big power.

I personally would put the $ into an E36/E46/E90 and boost the shit out of it...
