Bit the bullet. Pics arrived.
I just purchased a 2004 X5 N62 with 150,000 Km or +/- 93 k miles. Paid 9500$. Car has some imperfections, otherwise it looks good.
Imperfections: Very dirty inside - that's an easy fix. Left passenger door - the bottom rubber sill towards the front has a broken clip - easy fix. Driver door a minor (hardly visible) parking lot door ding - easy fixable. Rear passenger door - a light scratch of the clearcoat, again an easy fix. The car has a shimmy around 110 Km/hr (70 mph) felt mostly in the gas pedal - I think I have to check the tires. Left rear tire looks older than the other ones (same brand and size), but worn well. The ATF PS fluid is low and started to turn brown - easy fix. The rest looks OK, the paint is still shiny, I would give it a 9.5 out of 10 (the mentioned 2 minor dings). Same with the overall esthetic condition of the vehicle. No CEL. Scanned it with Peake, nothing. Does not have the panoramic sunroof. Has heated seats front & rear. Heated bus steering wheel (the 4 spoker). DSP audio (which I don't care much, but it comes with the territory). Automatic lights & rainsensing wipers. New windshield. All other features & amenities are pretty much standard. Next I think is: flush & change the PS ATF, oil, filter & air filter, cabin filters, differential oil, maybe transfer case oil as well, later this month or next change the ATF. Check the balance of the wheels, maybe a new tire, check alignment. Everything else checks OK. The car has a new radiator & expansion tank (I was told an updated expansion tank installed by the dealer - PO told me they had to do it - not sure why). I just hope I won't have any surprises. As mentioned in the title, I will post some pics later. Also, if I omitted anything I should check/service, please feel welcome to school me. |
i think you are talking about this clip for the rear left door - 51337052945
transmission fluid change - read up about it, make sure you know what you are doing - there were one too many posts about the tranny failure after the flush... congratulations on the car!!! we do want the pics!!! |

Here are a few pics taken with my cell phone, once I had her home. There is work to be done on her, and needs a thorough cleaning.
