Can you integrate all the following:
TV Tuner Sirius Bluetooth I want to add a tv tuner with a backup camera. I found this site...http://www.navwithtv.com/group.asp... Any experiences? Does anyone here use the nav screen for TV/DVD input? I would like to integrate reverse camera and some of that functionality.... |

As TommyX5's signature line says, it would be easier to just ask what I don't have in my X5  |

yes this can all be done fairly easy. Feeding a DVD into the NAV-TV can be done in multiple ways. If you want to get DVD in true stereo you can use the AUX Input and the switching module to toggle the audio source when you have selected the TV option. I've a writeup on the DVD in Stereo using the AUX Input at http://www.janixworld.com/x5/AUX_Input/ The Sirius install is pretty easy as well and the most difficult task is the installation of the antenna. Many of us have hidden the antenna in the rear spoiler with no major reception issues so far. The Sirius install is at http://www.janixworld.com/x5/Sirius/ Bluetooth is another easy one depending on your build date, there are already plenty articles on BT installations on X5world but I have also one at http://www.janixworld.com/x5/phone/ ... Good luck, Jan |
I have the sirius installed with the antenna in there. I'm getting the btooth kit tomorrow...I'm just really curious if anyone here is using anything besides TVonNav? I used to frequent the formum "hacktheibus" and plenty of guys put diagrams on how to hard wire a pc into the nav screen. Just curious if any of you have.

Could you give me a little more description on how you did the spoiler install. I currently have the antenna up there right now, with the aluminum foil tape. Now the problem is that I don't like the way it looks. Yours looks so much more professional and I want to redo mine. So could you describe how you made your 6" metal plate? Thanks, David |
I used double-stick velcro underneath and signal is great. I didn't need to do the metal plate.

Here are a few pics of the CarPC in my M3.
