Good luck!
Good to be nervously excited. Not so good if you are nervous about whether your decision is a good one or a bad one. Not to worry, either way it is not life threatening. |

So.... I went ahead and picked up the X5 I had been checking out for about a month. The uBer cool owner held it with a deposit for me for 30 days. He drove 60 miles to pick me up, so I am hoping that means the car is good to go! LOL! http://images.bimmerforums.com/smilies/tongue.gif
I got the car with a stack of service history and receipts dating back to when it was first sold as a CPO in 2007. I also got some of the original sales paperwork of when it was sold brand new - including the Dealer Key Tag. Receipts / Record show a lot of work done on the car up to March 2013. A lot of the work was done under the BMW Extended 100K Mile Warranty which just ran out 21K miles ago - sadly. Highlights to me were: SLS Pump Replaced - 2008 FSU for HVAC - 2008 VCGs replaced twice - 10/2009 (Had major Service) & 2/2010 (Major work like PCV Valve, etc) Water Pump, Valley Pan, Thermostat, Intake Seals, - 10 / 2009 (Right around 100K) Radiator, Water Pump, All Hoses - 5 / 2012 @ 117K miles Replaced Cats - 2 / 2013 VCGs, Spark Plugs - 2/2013 (VCGs were leaking causing mis-fire) There was quite a bit more work in the history - these were just highlights. Got a stack of paperwork to go through. Last Owner owned the car from 2009 to date, prior to him the previous (Dealer Tech.) owner had it from 2007 to 2009. Sold it to his friend which is the person I bought it from. Drove the car about 100 miles home today. My only concern is that at standstill with D engage, I feel like a slight tremble / vibration right under my feet / under the pedals. No idea what this could be. Also... while I was wondering about this, at about 70 MPH there was a suddenly shudder / clang when it seemed to change up in gears. Oy Ve! Anyway.... so far, so far. Tomorrow I do some more checking on the car. But... officially, I am here! :nanana:  |
Hey Aquila, did you use to own a Touring?
|
He still has the E39 Touring
|
I meant the E34 Touring. There was a guy named Aquila on Bimmerforums that had an E34 touring when I had my E34 touring.
