Internal fan constantly running
I have an 01 x5 problem is when I turn off the engine/car I can hear a fan running constantly from inside the dash board. It's not the engine fan or anything and can be heard faintly running even when the car is locked. It's been causing the car to run out of batteries making me have to constantly jump start it, it's not the battery because I just had it replaced.
The dealer told me its some kind of a/c control module that needs to be replaced for about $200 can someone help me ! |
blower motor resistor may be at fault .Pull the fuse for the blower and see if it goes off
What's the fuse number for the blower motor/where can I find this fuse
There in the upper part of the glove box .There should be a card w/ fuse description
Ok I pulled the fuse and the AC system doesn't then on anymore. It's not the AC there's an fan blowing inside the dash that sounds like a computer fan that's causing the car to run out of battery
I would start pullin fuses 1by1 and see if it goes off .Once it shuts off see what that fuse is for and isolate the problem . Its possible is a hvac module thats bad

I suggest you :search: as this has been mentioned 100's of times and Knucklebuster is right on the money.
