Center resonator restriction?
1 Attachment(s)
I've searched with no luck. I about to put on a set of stainless headers on my 3.0 and an looking at further tweaking my exhaust for performance.
Does anyone know how restrictive the center resonator is? Do both banks meet in a common chamber, or are they separated and never mix. If so, I'm thinking of going with a magnaflow tru-x muffler/resonator (p/n 11385). This way I get an x-pipe with increased performance of being a flow-through design as well. Seems like a win-win, as I could still retain some civility with good tone. The oem mufflers have already been replaced with magnaflow flow-through performance mufflers which sound awesome, shaved a few lbs, and added a couple ponies according to the butt-dyno. Adding the headers and a complete low restriction exhaust should really open it up even more. Thoughts, comments? Ideas |
I haven't heard of anyone with tru-x but have thought about it myself.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna see how the sound and performance is with the headers, and go forward from there. I think the magnaflow true-x center muffler is the way to go....... balance between rasp and drone.....
