^Pretty much, just clean off any of the old tape

Everything said above, plus a razorblade to trim the tape nicely.

The roundels are 2 pins (front & back BMW logos)...I thought the "x5" badge was like the side badges....held on my double sided tape?

No pin. I've removed it to put on the Dinan X5 badge on the iS, just double-sided tape.
