BBA (the best option as rated on Bimmerfest) is running a sale on their eBay auction: $96.42 shipped. You can't beat that.
I had my ABS rebuilt for my E39 by BBA, lifetime warranty.

vehicle speed, signal - what did they say about that code?

they based their assessment of dead ABS module on the fact that it timed out, so, there was no connection... a very likely culprit...

but your EGS times out too... as well as DME... but we know, that they do work, your engine is running, and the transmission still proppels the car forward...

Still been meaning to send mine in to them. Glad to know the sale is on again for the next month as the alignment/tie rod issues killed me lately.
