Drivetrain Popping Under Hard Acceleration From a Stop
 

Now that it is running awesome again, I'm on to another problem. When I launch from a stop I hear a loud pop-pop-popping coming from the front somewhere. Is that a CV axle or something worse? No popping in turns or anything.

Could be your transfer case.

My had a few "pops" which was likely the front driveshaft skipping a tooth or two. Eventually the driveshaft splines will strip and then you will be left stranded.

Mine would happen when I was off throttle coasting and then jabbed the gas.
