2005 x5 4.4 preoffer q

Going to check out one with 110000 miles premium and sport package and wanted to ask if there are obvious areas I can check before going to next step and having mechanic inspection. Assume like any 8 year old vehicle anything can go at anytime but usually each model has certain areas you can check to rule in/out. At 110000 what should either have been replaced or is in danger of letting go?

cooling system
suspension
valve cover leaks
sunroof issues
window regulators
warm AC
weak battery
blue smoke on idle

PPI: pre-purchase inspection by BMW dealership or competent BMW Indy.
They will check and know what need to be checked.

thx

For all the reply's, I assumed the water pump would need replacing but reading the info above the panoramic roof might be worth checking out good for leaks.
Thanks again, if this deal works out I'll become a regular.
Time to read up some more.

If you happen to get a PPI (pre-purchase inspection or post-purchase inspection) performed by a BMW dealership...remember that you can ask to see the BMW service history...that way if the Pano sunroof had been reported to leak etc...it may have been replaced by BMW...thus it would appear in the service history.

A PPI is usually worth the $100+ if performed by a BMW dealership if for no other reason, you can see what has been done by the car (by any BMW dealership)...as well as get a list of things that may need to be taken care of immediately, or can be put off for later...and either performed by you (DIY) or by the dealer or your preferred Indy.

Even if a PPI comes back with thousands of dollars of work that's needed...again, look at it all and put it in perspective. You can determine what needs to be done now or real soon...and what can be put off for later. It can reduce the "surprice" or "all-of-a-sudden" unexpected and perhaps unfortunately high dollar malfunctions (although...s*&t can still happen :( ) by getting a good idea of what areas of the vehicle need attention...and again, if it needs immediate or "further down the road" attention...you can be saving up for it etc. ...or start shopping around for the best deals/sales etc for the parts you may need.
