Actron code scanner
1 Attachment(s)
Seems that Peake is no longer the only choice in a handheld scantool that reads the BMW specific codes.
Amazon.com: Actron CP9580A Enhanced AutoScanner Plus with Code Connect, Trilingual, OBD II, CAN and Expanded ABS Coverage: Automotive |
more than 2 years using it, nice for engine and abs diagnostic on the E53, any INPA cable will be 1000% more complete for the rest of the systems.

I have an Actron I got years ago for my Acura. It works as advertised but feels a bit cheap and has no extras. It was about that price then.

I have an old Actron in the X and was thinking of replacing it with the Peake tool (for the BMW specific codes) when I saw this new Actron. I keep a scantool in the X because I don't have a laptop in the X on most trips.

The X now owns a P4 1GB Toshiba Satelite that weighs as much as a current gen small form factor desktop.
I am working on learning INPA and BMW Scantool 1.40. I coded EU driving lights (nothing appears to be on) because US turns on the Xenons and don't want them running all the time. I did successfully get my side markers to run as turn signals. |
