Charlotte NC Meet? Or at least service recommendations?

Is anyone in the Charlotte, NC area interested in a meet-up? This question was posed before according to the search feature, but that was five or six years ago and didn't seem to gain much interest.

Are there any service shops worth recommending? My last one was done by Hendrick for a whopping $2k, and it was relatively minor. I've got Inspection II coming up, so I'm looking for a new indy. BAS here in Rock Hill shut down, which is both good and bad, I suppose. I'd stick with Hendrick but my SA (the only one I've ever had and really came to trust) quit and moved to Charleston, so now is as good as time as any to find a new shop.

If you need help near Charleston, 4 star recommend is Exclusively Bimmers in Mt Pleasant.

Alas, just moved back to Idaho from 6 yrs in Goose Creek, SC. May have been born a Yankee(NJ), but my soul is pure South. Well, except for the humidity, and bugs. Both of which are virtually non-existent here in eastern Idaho. No beaches, but snow-capped mountains. No hurricanes, but one super volcano (Yellowstone).

I do most everything myself, but CMD Auto in Southend is my choice. Also reputable is MBV at Tyvola and Old Pinville.

Oh yeah, I really like Touring Car in Stallings but it's just too far to be convenient.

second on Touring Car in Stallings.

second on Touring Car in Stallings being too far away.

BTW, any of you Charlotte guys know an indy that will press out/in my tension strut bushings?

I am doing a CCV system replacement and mini front end rebuild on Saturday if anyone wants to join! and if it doesn't rain too much. (Cotswald area)

It's been a while, but the place now called Brakes 4 Less at Park and East Blvd. formerly did some pressing for me. I offered $10 and they told me to get them a 12 pack...no I'm not joking:dunno: They were just the closest shop to me so I walked in and asked. I'd give it a try at any place that's not a big chain.

BTW your e28 looks awesome!

I know exactly where that place is. Thanks for the tip!!

That's what I was thinking of doing. Just walking in to a few random places and asking.

I meant to say Park Ave. and South Blvd. but looks like you knew what I meant anyway.
