BSW package arrived!

Got my 8" sub, amp, and the spec adaptor for the ashtray in today! Stoked!
Had to share with someone... girlfriend amd evryone else doesnt care
Cant wait to install!
Has anyone had the stage 1 upgrade installed and to 700 bucks worth of results?
Im really waiting on the amp they are supposed to be making for these before I order....
BTW i used to have a DSP 2004 x5. The sound is actually better without it on my newer one 2006-07 cutoff date by far. And I used to run sound professionally so i can tune an amp or eq... DSP is shit.

If I ever blew some speakers I'd go with the BSW replacements in a heartbeat, heard they are awesome.

I have DSP though so my upgrade options are limited as I'm way too old to be rewiring audio systems lol.

Let me know how it turn out for you. I have DSP like RB, so when I do it, I would have to replace everything. I would run 4-channel amp for the speakers and a mono amp for the subs. I'm old too, but it has to be done. Not like RB :D :stickpoke

I installed a BSW system several years ago. System included all new speakers, sub and amp. At that time it was first my first audio system upgrade but I found it an easy install. I am far from an audio expert but the system is a vast improvement in every aspect and I have DSP. I was worried I would be disappointed by not going to a more elaborate professionally designed system, that it would fall miserably short of conservative expectations. Never have had a problem with the system though I had to put a pad on the gas door because the bass would make it rattle. If I could stand it, I could be one of those boom boom cars that you hear go by. Only downside was that the subwoofer was in an large enclosure then that would not fit in the side panel and eats too much space in the back. That turned out OK as I used that space for a mod I have done since. I think you will be very pleased!

Congrats Op, hope you love it!

Moving the CD to the back & spoofing the DSP was easy & sounds great on my APPRADIO3 otherwise stock system.

Had it done in 2005 by BSW, (when they still did installs) in my 2001 X5, which I had just bought. They are still doing great today, just powered now by an Alpine vs the old crap it came with.

Sorry here's some pics so far I figured I'd save you the bag of wires.. Anyway here's the Bavsound amp and 8 woofer and box that hides in rear passenger side compartment.
Only thing I've "installed " so far is the spec doc that took all of five minutes... I'd show you my phone in there but then I couldn't take the pictures lol😜
