You guys totally ROCK!! http://midpacsolutions.com/emoticons/banana.gif

Mahalo for taking the time to educating me about my X. I didn't realize just how many difference changes/upgrades there were, and how many I have, and really don't have.

That being said ... my build she says xenon, but doesn't say adaptive ... what year did the adaptive come out?

Were it true, that would be a great resource. Adaptive headlights and pano sunroof showed up in 2004 model year, not 2005 as the link says. It didn't happen for '04's until April- or was it May, 2004? Anyway, my 07/04 build 4.8is (and all 4.8is since they debuted at the same time) has adaptive headlights and the pano roof.

Your fog lights look like there covered in silver over spray making them look frosted, a quick clean up with a a scotch brite pad will bring them back to a crystal clear lens.

I'm sure its overspray from the aftermarket bumper he has (or at least the extra paint work on it)

See post 27 where OP came to that conclusion.

Oh man ... I have aftermarket bumpers? I wonder what else the original owner (OO) did to it. Well, at least it looks better than some of the X5 driving around the road with me. Too bad the OO didn't opt for a titanium or carbon fiber trim for the dash too

Yes.

You have an upgraded/non stock bumper, so yours is different than most people here.

Ahh...thanks for the education...that's what I get for being only a 11 month old e53 owner...and using someone else' info (instead of my own). :(

No worries. I confirmed it was April, 2004 when the 4.8is came out. This is the date used to differentiate the other items, like adaptive headlights and pano roof.
