Driver side mirror dead
So my driver's side mirror won't adjust or fold.
I checked the multiple fuses in the glove compartment associated with the outside mirrors. Passenger side works fine. No problems. Just one more thing for me to mess with. Yay... It hasn't been my week. |
So can the door module partially die?
There is no voltage to the driver's side mirror motor. All other functions (windows, passenger mirror functions, etc.) all work. |
Check the wiring harness running to the door where it flexes from the door frame to the door. Likely a problem in that bundle.

Thanks JCL. |
Well, with my trusty fluke multimeter I attacked the driver's door module this weekend to see what I could find out.
Sure enough, the driver's door mirror was getting no power from the module. Passenger side was getting power. New module on order so we'll see if my diagnostic skills are correct! |

If not you might need to just adjust the connection for the folding mirror function. |

Thanks for the link! |
Heh. Success.
New driver's door module. Driver's mirror works again! When all else fails, start chasing voltage until it stops! |
thx for the reply ,this will help other peeps with this situation. is your mirror still loose?

The driver's side is not as taught as the passenger side. Probably could stand some work to fix that aspect of its operation. Is there a way to tidy that up (easily)? |
