vinyl wrap interior trim?

I'm wondering if anyone here has done it, how it looks, and was it difficult?

Wrong section.

I wrapped my center console.

Very easy and very cheap.

What it difficult to remove? I really, really want to get rid of the wood, but am afraid that I might break or snap off a retaining bracket, or accidentally scratch something.

Any advice?

Get a plastic trim removal kit. Pry it out little by little, don't force or rush the job.
For the ones on the doosr, start at the end (the smaller end)
Make sure your work table is very clean and use a heat gun.
Buy more material than you need. Everyone will mess up the first time.

the hardest, BY FAR to remove and do will be the center console as it requires the removal of a bunch of things to get it out.
Its an easy job BUT you have to be patient and learn to use a heat gun properly. too much and you ruin the vinyl, too little and you will not get it stretched enough.
I just did my X with brushed titanium and it looks insanely nice.
BUT note that if you have ANY cracks in the wood trim now, the crack will be amplified when you put the vinyl wrap on, SO i'd suggest you sand down the cracks on the wood trim so the cracks do not push through the vinyl. See the second last and last photos above and notice the cracks in the black vinyl parts?
Also, get a proper vinyl applicator piece and be very choosey on which vinyl wrap you buy. the stuff I used, adn wrote about in my trim post, was the 3M new stuff and its the pigs tits!!!

How long did it take you to get the center console out? I've yet to do mine cause I hear it takes an hour or so.

I would say that is about right.

Remove the carpet side panels. Remove the center armrest. Unscrew everything. Unplug everything. Shimmy the whole thing out. The wood trim is screwed into the console from the bottom, so you can remove it and wrap it without having to manipulate the whole center console.

A very broad overview on what I did. I did a lot of head scratching trying to figure out what was still connected.

I just found out yesterda ymy blower motor (not FSR) is hooped so I don't wanna do that tedious job so my mech has to take the center console out to repair the heater blower motor so I may as well wait till he has it out to steal it from him for an hours or so and wrap it myself. saves me having to take it out again
