Windows UP with remote on my 2002 3.0i ???

Can I roll up my windows and close my sunroof with the key remote like I can on my E46? It is a nice feature to not have to get in and turn the key on to do this when it starts raining. I tried this the other day and it didn't work. Maybe I need to program this option for it to do this? I have BMW Scanner 1.4.0
Thanks

You can put the key in the door lock and hold it clockwise and that will close all windows and sunroof. Otherwise, you will need coding to close them with the key fob.

There is tons of info on this already...

You can activate it through your software the same way you did on the e46.

Ditto what ET said :) ...there's no need to open the car door, get in, then insert the key into the ignition to close the windows/sunroof.

It is called the CONVENIENCE OPERATION...and as outlined in the owners manual...you can just insert the key into the door lock cylinder, then turn & hold the key until the windows/sunroof are all closed.

And as also mentioned, with aftermarket software/hardware, you can program the key to remotely perform this operation (just as you can already roll the windows down & open the sunroof by pressing & holding the UNLOCK button on the remote). :)

OK I'll try to find that in my software.
I'll make sure its turned on for both the remote and the physical door lock.
Thanks

Yes I must have missed that page while skimming thru the book.
Thanks
