Cold Blooded?

01 X5 with 3.0 Now that it cools off to 50 degrees at night here, the X5 wont start until it gets around 70 in the morning. I know it sounds weird but it starts fine into the evening after the temp is about70. I think the transfer pump is goin out also because it acts like it is out of gas when half full on gauge. I know its not low now because I filled it to the top. It just cranks and cranks.
Does anyone know of a cold start sensor possibly not working? I will begin my diagnostics (spark, fuel, etc.) later today but hoping someone has a quick fix.

Replaced camshaft sensor and all is good.

Replaced camshaft sensor at night when temp was warm outside. Car ran great but next morning it wouldnt start.
I replaced the crankshaft sensor. Still no start.
Pulled codes and nothing showing at the moment.

Any ideas on a cold start problem anyone??????????:dunno:

and the battery is totally good, right?

I'd always go first for the battery however in this case you mention that it just keeps turning over. Does it turn over well or is it sluggish? If it turns over well then my next step would be to look at the coolant temperature sensor and the fuel pump...

I've heard about the battery. if below 12 volts can cause problems. The car cranks over fine. will crank for a long time. It never even pops or tries to start. After it gets to around 60 - 70 degrees it starts right up.
What is the fuel pressure supposed to be at the rail during start up?
