Is there a way to turn off the door lock chirp when locking or unlocking the doors with the remote?

I don't have a tool but was wondering if it could be done with the steering wheel switches.

To set the lock/unlock notifications you're going to need some sort of coding software.

Ditto X5SND...you can see from the small section of the car & key memory worksheet what the default settings are...and what you can have coded off or on.

The DWA (anti-theft alarm siren) has audible and visual alerts...and you can code the arm/disarm alerts as you please...but it will take software/hardware that can communicate over the BMW proprietary communication bus system:
