Or a light smear with petroleum jelly.

100% silcone spray...and while you're winterizing...might as well hit the door lock cylinders and all hinges.
These are the 2 products I use for winterizing that helps prevent door lock cylinders from freezing and door gaskets from freezing:

I googled "tri-flow freezes at what temp" & "silicon freezes at what temp"...and you can see below what I found...I would suggest checking the internet for any brand that you may have or see in your area: Tri-Flow Superior Lubricant provides twice the lubricating power of most competitive brands. Its light viscosity allows for deep penetration into hard to reach moving parts. -Ideal for all conditions - wet, dry, road and trail -High grade petroleum oils provide optimum lubrication under extreme temperatures (-60 to 475F) and humidity A clean, light-duty product, DuPont™ Teflon® Silicone Lubricant is excellent for non-metal materials that may be damaged by conventional lubricants. It helps prevent sticking, binding and freezing. |
thx for the info I`ll try the 2 lubricants you mentionned this weekend .
|
Anything with Teflon is good, I get my Du-Pont Teflon lubricant at Lowes
